About Us

OCCF ESTABLISHMENT : 

The OCCF has come to being vide the OCCF  Act of  November 27th 1999 According to this Act the Council is  comprised of   a chairman appointed by the Council of Ministers and  the membership of (22) members representing  ministries,   corporations, professional Councils and professional associations, under the  guidance of   a minister appointed by the president .

OCCF TERMS OF REFERENCE : 

According to the 1999 Act the Council  has the   following responsibilities : 

  1. Registration and classification of  consultancy firms .

  2. Identification of consultancy  areas.

  3. Set the competition basis for  consultancy services  awards to be adopted by clients .

  4. Set the basis for a code of professional ethics to be adopted by consultancy  firms.

  5. Set the criteria and measures for registration

THE COUNCIL COMMITTEES:

The Council executes its functions through three committees as follows:-
  1. Financial and administrative committee.
  2. Professional committee.

  3. Registration and classification committee.
REGISTRATION:

The 1999 OCCF Act prohibits any  consultancy firm, whether Sudanese or foreign to offer any consultancy  service unless it has been registered and classified according to the OCCF Act.

Registration certificates : 

The following certificates  of registration  are issued by the OCCF as   appropriate :

  • Certificate of permanent registration, given  to  national and foreign firms  operating in Sudan .

  • Certificate of temporary registration; given to foreign firms which have a specific consultancy assignment and  which will  terminate with the  completion of  assignment .

  • Notification of registration in Council’s Consultancy Roster for foreign firms .

The Consultancy  Register :

The OCCF issues a Consultancy Register  which embodies information about permanent registered firms this register is annually updated .

Registration requirements :

  • The founder or founders should be; according to OCCF standards;  qualified in the area of firm’s activities, and at least one of them should be full    time with the firm.

  • The available staff should include one specialist or more in the areas of  firms    activities.

  • The firm should specialize in the consultation  services which have been  approved at registration.

  • Firm should have a reasonably well equipped office in Sudan to perform its work .
