ORGANIZING COUNCIL FOR CONSULTANCY FIRMS1999 ACT " AMENDED IN 2004 "

Chapter 1

Preliminary provisions Title and commencement

This Act may be cited as the “Organizing Council For Consultancy Firms ct, 1999”,   and shall come into force, as from the date of signature .

Chapter 2

The Council Establishment of the Council

There shall be established a council, to be known as the, ‘‘Organizing Council For Consultancy Firms, OCCF) having corporate personality,  perpetual succession, a common seal and the right to litigate, in its own  name as plaintiff, or defendant.

Chapter 3

Secretary General , The Registrar And Deputy Registrar   

The Council will have secretary general appointed by the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of the Minister Concerned , to exercise on full- time basis the responsibilities stipulated in this Act and in its subsequent by-laws, together with any other duties decided by the council .

Chapter 4

Terms of service and financeTerms of service

The chairman and members of the Council shall be granted annual remuneration, to be prescribed by the Council of Ministers.

Chapter 5

Consultancy firms and consultants Consultancy firms

Any qualified person, or any number of qualified persons may, upon the approval of the Council, establish a consultancy firm, in any of the areas of Engineering, Information Programming, Architecture, Environment,  Agriculture, Veterinary Science, Industry,  Finance, Economics,Administration or Law, independently, or    ointly, or in any such other

Miscellaneous provisions Work of foreign consultancy firms in the sudan

No foreign consultancy firm shall render consultancy  services,  unless it has been registered  temporarily, or permanently, for such purpose .
